A man spends the first 72 years of his life in a red 1937 Cadillac Series 60 coupe. In year 73 of Cadillac Man’s life, he decides Cadillac life is not worth living. He settles himself under Guth’s Bridge in South Whitehall Township, PA, and adopts an orange tabby cat named Dagmar, frequently attempting to rehabilitate him as Freudian Pop. The townspeople of South Whitehall Township are displeased with the Cadillac Man’s presence. Sonny Friele and a group of acquaintances decide to throw unopened cans of Arizona Iced Tea at Cadillac Man and the event develops into a highly popular tourist attraction. With hundreds of cans accumulating below Guth’s Bridge, the 2010 Flash Flood of Lehigh Valley causes the water level to rise to exorbitant levels at exorbitant speeds. Freudian Pop becomes a casualty of the chaos. In a mixture of frustration and a vague notion of justice, Cadillac Man attempts to burn down Guth’s Bridge with a pack of matches. Unsuccessful, he refurbishes his 1937 Cadillac Series 60 coupe, drives to Sonny’s house, and punches him in the face. Reportedly, he also spat in Sonny’s face, took out a pack of matches and tried to light Sonny’s clothes on fire, saying, “This one’s for FP.” After the confrontation, Cadillac Man drives towards California, remembering what Tim Robbins said about the Pacific Ocean, “A warm place with no memory.”
